This trio has been playing together for several years now and is distinguished by its specialisation, especially with regard to original Brazilian music.
Their tribute to Chico Buarque which was released as a CD on the Philology label under the name Palavra Prima, 
has been represented throughout Italy in major musical events.
In this performance (also recorded on CD in January 2011) the three musicians will present their most recent work, a tribute to Gilberto Gil, a very popular artist whose work is more appreciated for its commercial, easy-listening qualities than for his creative, musical genius.
Casini, Fornaroli and Gibellini have put together a series of pieces, true gems which have been rather overlooked but which are finally being given the prominence they deserve, shedding light on the artist’s talent as a composer.
The pieces are deeply rooted in a tradition which has been reinterpreted and kept alive, open to a fertile contamination and with an indissoluble bond with Africa.
