It’s their first public appearance with this formation, made up of musicians who have been working for years in different bands. Here they meet in a project dedicated to develop mountain songs, which are melodies of true Trentino’s heritage, into jazz. It works in the imagination of listening as once the standards, like the songs of the musical, on which generations of jazz musicians have built their processing and their improvisations. 

While musicals are the melodic tradition of American musicians, are the mountain songs for Trention’s music history. When Trentino Jazz Ensemble was founded, Trentino Jazz also started to be a big festival. Events are held throughout the year everywhere in Trentino.

This year it’s no longer just a bulletin board of events but the result of a shared work between different festivals, gathered in a network, producing musical projects together, creating a fertile territory of creativity, away
from the logic of profit-oriented agencies.
